A brand new dedicated healthcare facility in the Midlands’ Golden Triangle
Based at Brackmills in Northampton the new centre is strategically located in the Midlands’ ‘Golden Triangle’ and has been designed specifically with the needs of our healthcare customers in mind. It expands our already significant global footprint and ensures that we can provide fully compliant logistics solutions for even more healthcare organisations across the UK. Comprising 387,500 square feet of warehouse space, and with sustainability as a key focus, we see Brackmills as an important development for these key customers as well as an exciting milestone for DSV.
DSV’s largest temperature controlled facility in the UK
The warehouse includes DSV’s largest temperature-controlled solution in the UK and GDP-certified climate control facilities cater for healthcare companies with the most stringent storage requirements and compliance standards. Brackmills is available to multiple users at the same time, and is well suited for both large and small organisations who need to be able to scale their stocks quickly and cost effectively, to match their growth and operational circumstances.
Certified BREEAM ‘Outstanding’
The facility, which was certified as ‘Outstanding’, has been designed and constructed in accordance with the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) to achieve excellence in respect of water and energy efficiency. This includes initiatives such as rainwater harvesting, sustainable drainage systems, 1,600 solar modules and high-performance LED lighting with motion sensors to reduce the total power demand. As a result, the annual carbon emission reduction of Brackmills amounts to approximately 216 tonnes of CO2 every year, which is equal to the annual heating and electricity consumption of 42 homes of 135 square metres.
And environmentally very friendly
In addition, landscape buffers have been created with large-scale planting of native woodland species alongside wildlife habitats with wildflower buffers and roosting boxes for bats and nesting boxes for local birdlife.

We have created our very own global pharmaceutical & healthcare quality management system (QMS). This is to safeguard our products and the health of patients. Our Healthcare QMS covers human and veterinary medical products and all our our employees who are involved in handling and transportation are trained to the highest standards. -
Brackmills office space has also been designed to meet DSV's global standards with high spec, open plan, functional areas. Prominent design features include office suites for customer use, a living wall, wood-paneling and well-equipped gym. The external area is an additional 354,757 sq ft, which provides covered bicycle racks, extensive car parking - and to support our move towards sustainability for all - 66 electric vehicle chargers.
