COVID-19 Emergency Situation Surcharge UK & Ireland

As the situation around the COVID-19 outbreak continues to impact more and more countries, DSV XPress is making sure transports arrive as quickly as possible given the significant impacts of COVID-19 on the global aviation industry

Considering the very restricted freight capacity in the global air network, we make every effort to transport your shipments to the destination safely and without delays where possible. To ensure our customers supply chains operate as smoothly as possible, shipments often must take in-direct routings to the final destination, which increases costs in freight and handling.

As a consequence, we will temporarily and until further notice have to pass on any additional charges of airlines and service providers to our customers.

Please note that the Emergency Situation Surcharge is a temporary charge, which allows the carrier to cover part of the operating cost increases and the necessary air network adjustments. DSV XPress will continue to evaluate and adjust the ESS as market conditions evolve for the duration of this emergency situation.

As market conditions continue to evolve with the ongoing COVID-19 situation in combination with the cost associated with capacity constraints in the global air network during the peak period, the Emergency Situation Surcharge (ESS) will be adjusted effective as shown below.

In addition to existing rates, charges, surcharges and fees the DSV XPress Fuel Surcharge is calculated also on the emergency surcharge

Cross trade ESS - Effective from Monday 22nd August
All Origins 0.89 GBP per kilo / 0.97 EUR per kilo
