We are looking for a Customs Assistant who will be working in a team dealing with customs administration processes, providing highest quality services for customs processes. Preparation of customs declarations (Export/ Import/ Transit), Intrastat, working with authorizations (POA), support of financial settlements (Fiscal Representation). Handling inquiries from internal customers.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process customs documentation accurately and within required timelines, ensuring compliance with relevant procedures and regulations.
  • Provide timely support and responses to inquiries from DSV branches and customers.
  • Collect, verify, and maintain customs and tax-related information required for customs clearance activities.
  • Ensure proper administration of customs declarations, including archiving and data management in relevant systems.
  • Contribute to process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members and share knowledge within the team.
  • Cooperate effectively with DSV branches, customers, and stakeholders across the DSV International Shared Service Center.
  • Identify operational issues, escalate when necessary, and support the achievement of team objectives.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, operational activities, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Continuously develop professional expertise through training and self-learning while supporting colleagues with subject matter knowledge.
  • Promote compliance, safeguard company assets, and report any irregularities or misconduct.
  • Perform all responsibilities in accordance with DSV policies, procedures, values, and organizational culture.

 

Qualifications:

  • Higher education preferred (faculties: Customs, Transport, Logistics, Law, Administration or related).
  • Knowledge of the English language at min. B2 level.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel. 
  • Ability to work under time pressure.
  • Ability to cooperate and communicate in an international environment.
  • Ability to effectively share knowledge and experience with other team members to improve own and co-workers' competences.
  • Ability to present data and to prioritize.
