USTR Announces Section 301 Tariffs on Some Goods from France
The USTR announced that some goods from France will be subject to Section 301 duties.
On Friday, July 10, 2020, the United States Trade Representative (USTR) gave notice that starting on January 6, 2021, the U.S. will impose Section 301 (additional duties of 25%) on various French manufactured goods.
This action is due to the determination that France’s Digital Services Tax is unreasonable or discriminatory and burdens or restricts U.S. Commerce.
The heading HTS of 9903.90.01 will be used to claim the additional duty.
