In the UK, DSV operates from 40+ strategically placed locations offering complete coverage from Scotland to Southampton. We administer over 600,000m2 of terminal storage, which is sustained by over 150 distribution vehicles across the country.

The large network of locations facilitates a daily groupage domestic service with distribution to all mainland locations within 24/48hrs. The regular service is accomplished by an average of 10-15 trunks overnight between 7 hubs, Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Immingham, Bristol and Purfleet, with the main cross dock situated in the heart of England, Swadlincote, North of Birmingham.

We offer complete coverage to and from all offshore islands including a regular daily service between England and the Channel Islands.

Dedicated Customer Service and Account Managers apply the continuous improvement approach to ensure constant optimisation of the overall transport solution relative to the desired transit times.

The state-of-the-art online portal, myDSV, is an advanced booking, track and trace system that also offers real-time notifications. DSV ETA provides you with a 2-hour window for pick-up and delivery times. Unforeseen events, such as queues or roadblocks, are plotted as soon as they appear, so you will receive transparency of your cargo when in transit.  

Should your requirement be to send an envelope or an entire plant, DSV handles all types of cargo throughout the UK. With comprehensive experience in providing special logistics services, we are able to make individual agreements to match specific requests including hazardous cargo and specialised equipment.

UK Full loads and Part loads

In addition to the groupage service, we offer a centralised control tower based at DSV new Mercia Park facility, DSV Road can offer a bespoke part and full load transport service throughout the UK.

Should your transport solution require a dedicated fleet approach or ad-hoc services requirements, DSV Road has the expertise and reach to tailor a precise offering, matching all of your specifications.

With the ability to consolidate orders from various customers, rates can be offered from 7 + pallets, through to a full load, enabling customers to pay for the space they use and not a part full vehicle, keeping transport cost down.

Advanced IT solutions

To facilitate the entire domestic service, MyDSV portal allows customer to add and control their consignments through an easy to use IT platform.  MyDSV is a live reporting system, providing information on delivery times and POD images once the consignment has been completed, without the need for a lengthy email chain.
