DSV delivers to needy communities for Red Cross
Keeping supply chains flowing during coronavirus pandemic
DSV Road is transporting foodstuffs and healthcare products around the country for the South African Red Cross. Some 15 tons of mielie meal has been transported from the Red Cross’s facility in Port Elizabeth to disaster management centres in Mthatha and East London, where they will be distributed to feeding programmes for vulnerable communities. In Johannesburg, Colgate has delivered 46 pallets of healthcare products – including toothpaste, soap, and Sta Soft – where DSV Solutions will pick and pack more than 68,000 units for onward distribution to Red Cross disaster management centres in all nine provinces.
