DSV powers the 2025 Change a Life Cycle Tour
Where logistics meets purpose - supporting a tour that transforms young lives in South Africa
DSV once again proudly supported Change a Life as the official logistics sponsor for the Dem Bones Change a Life Cycle Tour 2025. This year's tour, held from 3-8 November, took riders through the beautiful and challenging terrain of Namibia.
Each year, this annual high-profile event brings together senior business leaders to raise funds for crime prevention and youth development initiatives that foster safer, more sustainable futures for young South Africans. Continuing his annual participation, DSV's Managing Director for Contract Logistics in South Africa, Anthony Diack, joined the tour, further reinforcing the company's longstanding commitment to the cause.
DSV was responsible for end-to-end logistics, transporting participants' bicycles, essential equipment, event furniture, and all marketing and branding materials. The team managed the movement while navigating complex cross-border transport and customs clearance requirements, as well as shifting regulatory conditions to ensuring every item arrived safely and on time.
By leveraging its local expertise, dedicated teams, and strong partnerships, DSV was able to overcome these logistical challenges, demonstrating operational excellence and strengthening its reputation as a trusted partner.
Logistics is the backbone of the Cycle Tour. Without proper planning and execution, the event simply cannot happen. Our team worked tirelessly, often under very difficult conditions, including overnight delays at the border, to ensure every bike, banner, and piece of equipment arrived on time. I am incredibly proud of their commitment and resilience.

A highlight of this year's tour came on the last night, when Anthony Diack was presented with the prestigious Derek Watts Award, recognising his commitment to the event and his embodiment of the tour's values. This award honours the legacy of Derek Watts, a respected South African investigative journalist and television presenter who participated in the tour for many years and played a key role in raising awareness for the cause. "It's incredibly special because it comes from the community itself", Diack shared. "The people you meet are committed to making a difference, and being recognised by them was truly humbling."
DSV's involvement extends far beyond logistics. By enabling the continued success of the Change a Life Cycle Tour, DSV helps ensure that vulnerable communities in South Africa benefit from programmes that deliver hope, stability, and opportunity.
