DSV celebrates Brownsville warehouse expansion, a milestone in cross-border logistics innovation
DSV proudly hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on November 20, 2024, to celebrate the successful expansion of its Brownsville Warehouse. Strategically located just four miles from the Gateway International Bridge, the newly expanded facility now boasts a total of 86,000 square feet of warehouse space to support cross-border transportation and logistics through DSV’s OptiMex services.
The expansion added 60,000 square feet of warehouse space, nine more dock doors, and new indoor offload capabilities for weather-sensitive cargo, further optimizing cross-dock and transloading processes.

The event featured a guided tour of the facility, showcasing its advanced capabilities, and presentations by DSV leadership, who emphasized the strategic importance of the expansion in supporting the OptiMex initiative. Guests, including industry leaders and local partners, had the opportunity to network and learn more about how the facility is enhancing cross-border logistics.
Advancing OptiMex
The Brownsville Warehouse is integral to DSV's OptiMex initiative, which focuses on streamlining cross-border logistics between the U.S. and Mexico. With bonded and Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) designations, the facility enhances service levels, reduces transit times, and improves cost efficiency. By integrating advanced systems for inventory and movement management, DSV offers clients greater visibility and control over their supply chains.
The opening of the Brownsville Warehouse expansion marks an exciting milestone for DSV. As a critical component of the OptiMex strategy, the facility will strengthen the company’s global logistics network while providing faster, more reliable solutions for clients worldwide.
