Our DSV LEADout cyclists are on a hot streak!
Kerrighan Aries, Benino Hans, Breyton Hendricks and Charlize Murphy have all claimed victories and podium positions recently, and the highly promising Wadrick Pienaar has recently joined the LEADout stable.
These riders have shown great promise and commitment in the Eden District school cycling programme. They have been and will be competing in a minimum of 20 mountain bike, road and track cycling races during the year.
DSV has entered into partnership with LEADout Sport, a cycling academy whose mission is to identify a new generation of talented riders with the potential to participate in the top tier of cycling, and introduce them to sustainable development during their junior and under 23 cycling years.
DSV will be providing financial support to two development riders, who will be managed by LEADout Sport who will provide coaching, race management and logistical solutions in partnership with their local clubs, and work closely with their schools to ensure academic quality is not compromised. The coaching and racing strategy will seek to create future mountain bike Olympians, and in this way DSV’s social investment in the region will be of a sustainable nature.
The DSV LEADout programme complements our sponsorship of DSV Pro Cycling, professional cycling team, and our #DSVActive programme which encourages all our employees to lead healthy, balanced lives.
