DSV breaks ground on new 783,000-square-foot facility in the Chicago metro area

DSV celebrated the groundbreaking of its latest facility in Plainfield, Illinois, on September 3, 2025. Attendees included DSV team members, local officials, clients, and the facility’s developer, Alston Construction. This property serves to solidify DSV in a key transportation center of the United States.

The 783,000-total-square-foot high-tech facility represents a relocation and expansion of DSV existing operations in the Chicago area. It will support a variety of industries, primarily industrial, technology, and consumer products, offering a number of value-added services, ideal for order fulfillment operations. The warehouse design will also boast advanced safety and security features, to ensure optimal protection for client assets. An integrated building management system will enhance resource efficiency, aligning with DSV’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
