Energy self-sufficiency is one of the most important tools available to the contract logistics sector in the decarbonisation process. The Polish branch of DSV – Global Transport and Logistics, the world’s largest logistics operator, in cooperation with Accolade, a commercial real estate investor, has launched a photovoltaic installation in Łozienica. DSV delivered giant petrochemical columns to ORLEN
On March 28, the transport of components for ORLEN’s petrochemical investment project was completed. Two columns were delivered to the site of Poland’s largest muti-energy group: a 554 – tonne concentration tower and a smaller, 286-tonne C4 column. The preparation of the logistics plan and its execution – from collecting the cargo at the port in China, through sea transport to Gdańsk, transshipment of the columns onto barges and their voyage to Płock, to road transport to the final destination – was handled by the DSV – Global Transport and Logistics team. Panattoni has launched the construction of a new space within its logistics complex Wrocław Campus 2. The developer’s flagship project in Krzyżowice near Wrocław, the capital of Lower Silesia, will expand by 102,000 sqm. The first tenant of the new phase will be DSV – Global Transport and Logistics, the world’s largest logistics operator, which will occupy 45,000 sqm. The remaining area will be developed speculatively.
