The following criteria must be met to be eligible for an account

The account must be for commercial purposes
You will be required to complete an annual spend projection
Delivery address must be the registered business address of the account holder
DSV is a healthcare distributor and the following customer groups can apply:
- Private healthcare sector - SAHPRA licensed wholesalers (for export wholesalers the local healthcare regulators license is required)
- SAHPRA and HPCSA registered healthcare professionals, retailers and dispensers
- Public and Private laboratories
- National FMCG groups retailing a full range of consumer health products
The credit application must be completed, and the terms & conditions and requirements of the application must be met

An account to trade exclusively with one client will be reviewed on its merits and considered if the annual purchase volume justifies the trade, or in cases where DSV is the customer's only available source for the product.

If one or more of the above conditions are not met, DSV will not proceed with the credit application process. Incomplete applications will be rejected without any further consideration. Please ensure to attach all required documentation.

Submit required documents

Check the document requirement based on your medical practice and include them with your application.
Review and notify

DSV will review your application and notify you in writing if it's approved or not. (5 working days from receipt of application and all supporting documents)
Account setup and onboarding

DSV will contact you to set up your account and onboard you, ensuring you're fully prepared for your first order.

Extra documents needed based on your medical practice

Specialised Medical Practitioners

* Medpages and BHF confirming the MP number, practice number & address where the Doctor is registered
* HPCSA confirmation of valid status
* Declaration to be signed by the Doctor. If the Doctor has a dispensing license, a copy plus the proof of payment to the DOH must be included
Nurses

* Section 22A permit and annexure of medication they are permitted to dispense
Optometrists

* Medpages confirming the council number and delivery address
* Declaration to be signed by the Optometrist
*HPCSA practice card with validation date
* BHF confirming OP/MP number, practice number and address where the specialist is registered
* Cancelled script if no BHF is available
Pharmaceutical Wholesalers

* Printouts from Pharmacy council website confirming the Y number of the pharmacy and the responsible Pharmacist
* Certificate of recording of a Pharmacy
* Responsible Pharmacists' certificate
* Certificate of ownership
* Medpages printout
* SAHPRA, (legacy MCC) certificate and DOH certificates
Pharmacies

* Printout from Pharmacy council website confirming the Y number of the Pharmacy and the responsible Pharmacist
* Certificate of recording of a Pharmacy
* Responsible Pharmacist' certificate
* Certificate of ownership
* Medpages printout
SAPHRA license and DOH certificate
Veterinary Wholesalers

* Veterinary declaration to be signed by all practicing partners
* Medpages and BHF confirming the council number, practice number & address where the Veterinarian is registered
* Printout of SAVC (South African Veterinary Council) register
Wholesalers & Sub-distributors outside of South Africa

* Confirmation of registration with relevant authority in the country of destination
* Registration of responsible Pharmacist and the facility
