Project experience
Gold mine refurbishment project in Ghana
Modernising operations with precision logistics and project support
Tailored logistics for multi-phase development
DSV played a key role in the multi-year refurbishment of a Gold mine in Ghana, ensuring timely delivery of project and resupply cargo. By combining operational efficiency with cost containment strategies, DSV helped the mine achieve production milestones and modernise infrastructure.
When large-scale mining refurbishment demand precision logistics, DSV delivers efficient, reliable solutions to keep projects on track.
The Ghana Gold Mine refurbishment project was a multi-phase, multi-year initiative to modernise and restart the gold mine, which had been placed on care and maintenance in 2014 due to operational and financial challenges. The project, approved in 2018 with a sizeable investment aimed to transform the historic mine into a modern, mechanised, and long-life operation.
DSV supported the project by transporting critical equipment, plant components, and resupply cargo to the mine, managing timelines and costs effectively. We achieved efficiencies by combing project cargo shipments with resupply consignments, helping the client maintain momentum and contain costs.
