Shape the Future of Global Supply Chains
DSV is seeking an accomplished Global Account Director (GAD) to lead and grow strategic Platinum and Gold customer relationships across our global organization. This is a high-impact commercial leadership role responsible for increasing share of wallet, driving profitable growth, and positioning DSV as a trusted strategic partner to some of the world’s largest companies.
The Global Account Director will develop and execute comprehensive account strategies, lead complex commercial engagements and negotiations, and identify opportunities to expand DSV’s integrated logistics solutions across divisions and regions. Acting as the primary day-to-day commercial leader for the account, the GAD will build trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders while coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business value.
The ideal candidate combines deep logistics and supply chain expertise with strong commercial acumen and executive presence. You will engage C-suite leaders across Finance, Operations, Procurement, and Supply Chain to understand business priorities, shape transformational solutions, and demonstrate how logistics can improve financial performance, resilience, sustainability, and long-term enterprise value.
This role is ideal for a strategic, commercially driven leader who thrives in complex global environments and can turn customer insight into growth, innovation, and long-term partnerships.
Key tasks / responsibilities
Financial
- Gross Profit responsibility for a Platinum and/or Gold account (maintain and develop account)
Strategic
- Develop and execute the global account strategy and account plan
- Leverage vertical knowledge, industry insights and data to shape customer direction and value propositions
Customer Relationship Building
- Build long-term trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Commercial single point of contact for the account on a day-to-day basis
- Actively search and identify opportunities within account, and engage colleagues to further grow the account
- Leads contract- and tender negotiations with customer stakeholders
- Act as central escalation point for commercial, operational and contractual issues (including Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and Accounts Receivable (AR))
Operational
- Pursue and share insights from accounts in industry with similar supply chains
- Identify and resolve operational challenges of importance to customer in collaboration with the divisions
- Define and agree on goals and KPI’s for the logistics activities to match customer needs
- Motivate and drive strategic improvement projects
DSV Collaboration
- Drive coordination with executive, tender and operational teams across divisions
- Lead the account team and support Account Executive in steering the account team
- Drive pipeline management incl. collection and maintenance of opportunities and awards (e.g., in CRM)

- Skilled in driving strategic account growth through consultative, value-based negotiation
- Expert in global account management and execution of strategic customer lifecyle management
- Capable of influencing senior stakeholders and steering complex end-to-end commercial engagements
- Mastering contract negotiations / renegotiation, and educated in the DSV legal policies
Customer Relationship Management
- Builds and sustains executive relationships and navigates cross-cultural dynamics to secure long-term partnerships and align customer and internal priorities
- Acts as the primary commercial contact across global business functions and locations
Product and Service Knowledge
- Strong command of DSV's integrated logistics offerings and the translation into customer-specific solutions
- Advises on scalable, customized logistics strategies aligned with customer needs and business objectives
- In-depth knowledge of DSV's logistics services across all divisions including regional strengths
Pipeline, CRM & Market Insights
- Uses CRM and performance dashboards to drive opportunity visibility, forecasting, and pipeline conversion
- Applies industry trends, vertical insights, and customer-specific intelligence to shape strategy
- Identifies emerging needs and proactively shares data-driven recommendations for account development
- Represents DSV a thought leader in the respective subvertical

Supply chain & business acumen
Knowledge
- Understands corporate finance principles: drivers of enterprise value, valuation multiples, capital efficiency, and market expectations.
- Mastery of supply chain finance: how logistics and inventory management influence working capital, and how trade finance and terms of delivery affect liquidity.
- Deep awareness of how supply chain design supports investor narratives (e.g., ESG [Environmental, Social, and Governance] compliance, resilience, sustainability, and scalability).
Application
- Leads C-level workshops focused on long-term logistics transformation and value realization.
- Partners with Chief Financial Officers (CFOs), Finance Directors and Regional EVP's as well as with Chief Operating Officers (COOs) and Product Supply / Supply Chain leads to integrate logistics insights into business planning and financial reporting.
- Shapes long-term agreements or joint business plans (JBPs) based on mutual growth, financial impact, and strategic alignment.
For this position, the expected base pay range is $178,200.00 – $220,000.00 . Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
