Principal Responsibilities
The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.
Job Responsibilities
- Verify shipment bills for required information and load freight onto trucks.
- Unload freight from trucks and weigh/check dimensions against the shipper’s calculations.
- Perform and maintain daily safety checks related to the assigned vehicle.
- Perform and maintain daily security checks related to freight being transported.
- Deliver freight to customer locations using company vehicles.
- Recover freight from customer locations using company vehicles.
- Maintain radio or telephone contact as required.
- Interact with warehouse and data center team members to maximize output and efficiency.
- Adapt to frequent change requests in a fast-changing work environment.
- Ensure proper documentation is completed for all hazardous materials being transported.
- Inspect truck and trailer equipment to ensure roadworthiness and notify the supervisor of current or anticipated repairs.
- Use RF and/or computer systems for trailer inventory control.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Regulatory & Driver Requirements
- Meet all federal and state standards and qualifications for commercial drivers, including, but not limited to, requirements established by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR).

- Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Must have a Class A CDL w/Hazmat endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of verified tractor-trailer experience within the past 4 years
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Must meet DOT physical requirements and maintain valid medical certificate
- Must pass road and backing test during onboarding
Strength Requirements
- Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical Activities
- Climbing — 25%: Ascending or descending stairs using the feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body ability is emphasized, particularly when the amount and type of climbing exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.
- Kneeling — Up to 25%: Bending the legs at the knee to come to rest on one or both knees.
- Crouching — Up to 25%: Bending the body downward and forward by bending the legs and spine.
- Reaching — 25–75%: Extending the hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
- Standing — 25–75%: Remaining upright, particularly for sustained periods of time.
- Walking — 25–75%: Moving about on foot to accomplish work-related tasks.
- Pushing — 25–75%: Using the upper extremities to press against an object with steady force in order to thrust it forward, downward, or outward.
- Pulling — More than 75%: Using the upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion.
- Lifting — 25–75%: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from one position to another. This requires substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
- Repetitive Motion — 25–75%: Performing substantial repetitive movements involving the wrists, hands, shoulders, and/or fingers.
- Grasping — 25–75%: Applying pressure to an object using the fingers and palm.
- Talking — 25–75%: Expressing or exchanging ideas through spoken communication, including conveying detailed or important instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Hearing — 25–75%: Receiving detailed information through oral communication and making fine distinctions in sound, such as when making precise adjustments to equipment or machinery.
For this position, the expected base pay range is $30.50/ Hourly. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
