Position target:
Manage operational IT security tasks and related supporting systems.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Demonstrates effective communication skills across technical and operational stakeholders.
- Serves as the primary point of contact (SPOC) for assigned IT security incidents.
- Performs daily security incident monitoring, investigation, and handling activities.
- Evaluates technical threats, vulnerabilities, and risks to support incident response and remediation efforts.
- Escalates security threats, risks, and incidents in accordance with established procedures.
- Supports security incident reporting, documentation, and case management activities.
- Maintains hands-on proficiency with security technologies, including SIEM, EDR, Email Security, Web Proxy, Vulnerability Management, and SOAR platforms.
- Demonstrates a solid foundation in security concepts, including Network Security, Endpoint Security, Email Security, Cloud Security, MITRE ATT&CK, adversary TTPs, and vulnerability management.
- Develops and maintains security monitoring and detection use cases within SIEM and related security platforms.
- Manages or supports the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of one or more security-related systems.
- Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one or more assigned security tools, technologies, or domains.
- Trains, guides, and provides technical knowledge sharing to Junior Specialists and team members within areas of expertise.
- Demonstrates composure, professionalism, and accountability when handling high-priority and critical security incidents.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of work activities, processes, procedures, and technical knowledge.
- Supports initiatives related to the enhancement and continuous development of SOC capabilities, processes, and services.
- Demonstrates ownership of assigned responsibilities and takes initiative in identifying and addressing operational and security-related challenges.
- Ensures compliance with internal policies, procedures, legal requirements, management directives, and intellectual property protection guidelines.
- Demonstrates behaviors and attitudes consistent with company values and professional standards.
- Maintains professional competency through continuous learning, training, certifications, and self-development activities.
