This role shall lead the development and management of strategic relationships with the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG), Workforce Singapore (WSG), SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG), JTC Corporation, IMDA, and other relevant government agencies across Singapore and selected countries within the Asia-Pacific region.
The role is responsible for identifying, facilitating, and managing government-supported initiatives, grants, incentives, capability development programs, transformation projects, investment opportunities, and strategic partnerships that support the organization's growth objectives. The incumbent will serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and government authorities, ensuring effective collaboration, compliance, and successful execution of strategic initiatives.
The role also supports regional expansion strategies by engaging with economic development agencies, investment promotion boards, and regulatory authorities across key markets.
Key Responsibilities
Incentives, Grants & Funding Facilitation
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with EDB, EnterpriseSG, WSG, SSG, IMDA, JTC, ESG and other relevant government agencies.
- Develop engagement plans to strengthen strategic relationships with government stakeholders locally and regionally.
- Provide management with insights on government policies, government grants, incentive schemes, tax benefits, funding opportunities, industry trends, and regulatory developments.
- Lead the preparation, submission, and coordination of grant and incentive applications.
- Partner with business units to develop business cases and supporting documentation required by government agencies.
- Track application progress and ensure successful deployment and compliance of funded projects.
- Maintain governance and reporting requirements associated with approved grants and incentives.
Regional Government Engagement
- Build relationships with investment promotion agencies, ministries, trade organizations, and economic development boards across the APAC region.
- Support regional leadership teams in evaluating market entry opportunities and expansion initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-border government engagements to facilitate investment, trade, and operational development projects.
- Share best practices and funding opportunities across regional operations.
Project Management & Business Excellence
- Lead strategic projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of approved initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Public Policy, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, or related discipline.
- Master's degree or MBA is advantageous.
Experience
- Minimum 8-12 years of relevant experience in government relations, business development, strategic partnerships, public affairs, corporate strategy, consulting, or business excellence.
- Experience working directly with EDB, Enterprise Singapore, government agencies, statutory boards, or investment promotion authorities.
- Proven track record in managing grant applications, investment facilitation, and strategic partnership programs.
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, technology, infrastructure, or related industries is highly preferred.
- Regional experience across Asia-Pacific markets is advantageous.
