As a senior project manager at DSV, you will have the opportunity to make an impact internationally, connect different disciplines and work with customers to turn their logistics ambitions into reality.

From new customer implementations to strategic improvement programmes for existing customers, at DSV you will work on a wide range of projects that directly contribute to improved logistics performance. You operate at the intersection of customer, operations and technology and take responsibility for leading projects from concept through to successful delivery: you’re on it.

How you do this? You are responsible for major customer implementations, ensuring that new customers and new business with existing customers are successfully implemented. From the final stage of the sales process, you contribute to defining the implementation approach and translate customer needs into a suitable logistics concept. You organise and lead customer workshops, map requirements and processes, and ensure that scope, deliverables, timelines, budget and responsibilities are clearly defined. You then lead international, multidisciplinary project teams, including Operations, Business Change Management, Carrier Management and IT. You bring the different disciplines together, monitor progress and act as the central point of contact for the customer and internal stakeholders throughout the project.

In addition, you will focus on the further development of existing accounts. As a project manager, you will guide account development roadmaps and help customers translate their ambitions into concrete improvement initiatives. This includes a focus on continuous improvement, performance enhancement, digitalisation and sustainability. You keep sight of the wider supply chain, identify opportunities and ensure that improvement plans are translated into tangible results. In this way, you combine project management with substantive customer engagement, contributing to long-term customer relationships and the continued development of DSV. You achieve this by:

• designing and delivering customer-focused logistics solutions;
• leading international, multidisciplinary customer implementations;
• connecting customers, internal stakeholders and specialist disciplines;
• driving account development roadmaps and improvement initiatives.

You will work with professionals from different disciplines, countries and cultures on complex customer challenges. Short communication lines, direct communication and a pragmatic approach enable you to respond quickly and work together to find concrete solutions. No project is the same: from new customer implementations to improvement programmes for existing accounts, you will have plenty of scope to take responsibility and make an impact.

You bring

• extensive experience in leading complex projects and multidisciplinary teams, preferably within logistics, supply chain, transport or a similar international environment;
• strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to effectively connect customers, management and different disciplines such as Operations, IT and Carrier Management;
• a good understanding of logistics processes and supply chains, with the ability to translate complex customer challenges into concrete and achievable solutions;
• an analytical, strong communicator with a pragmatic approach. You maintain an overview, set the right priorities and take ownership to successfully deliver projects and improvement programmes;
• an affinity with continuous improvement, digitalisation and sustainability, as well as excellent command of both Dutch and English, verbally and in writing.
