Inventory Operator
Role profile
Working in HP2 maintaining stock integrity over peak.
Primary purpose of the role
To manage the inventory control system, maintain product data, rectify miscalculations, review and analyse the result of operations, report findings to management and make recommendations for improvement as necessary.
Key accountability areas
1 | Investigating problems and analysing root causes - developing performance reports and workable solutions |
2 | Ensuring all Goods In queries are resolved and moved to location within 24 hours of receipt. |
3 | Monitor and report all stock adjustments with reason codes. |
4 | Creating the data and information to allow decisions to be made on moving slow moving / old lines to high level bulk locations. |
5 | Collate data to allow a review of the warehouse layout on a regular basis as required by the business, minimum monthly. (Wholesale / Retail and e-Com being available in correct areas). |
6 | Give suggestions and support in the planning in advance for seasonal peaks and troughs using forecasts to make available fast moving product in wide aisles pick faces and remove slow / non-moving stock lines. |
7 | Monitor and report all On Hold (QC / damage / lost) as required. |
8 | Support with the full PI count or cycle count as required |
9 | Support in the review and consolidation of stock as required. |
General responsibilities
Understand and comply with all relevant Company rules, agreements, policies, procedures and with all relevant legislative requirements and codes of practice.
Ensure Company business is treated in the strictest confidence and not disclosed to persons outside the Company.
Act in a professional manner, ensure good working relationships are maintained and promote a good image of the Company at all times
Maintain and comply with all Health, Safety and Environmental standards, to be aware of the Occupational Health & Safety Management System, OHSAS18001 and to appreciate the responsibility you have to adhere to the respective procedures.
Be aware that the Company operates a Quality Assurance system ISO 9001:2008 and adhere to the respective procedures.
Ensure a good standard of housekeeping through observance of relevant Company policies and ensure that work areas are secure and locked when unoccupied.
Where appropriate challenge and determine reasons for presence on site of any unauthorised person.
Attend any development training as required in compliance with the Company’s commitment to the Investors In People standard.
