The payroll specialist is primarily responsible to ensure all payroll activities are completed with accuracy and efficiency on a monthly basis.
Reporting Line:
Report to: Senior Manager, Payroll, RSSC, MENA
Location: Dubai, UAE
Direct subordinates: None
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Handle and prepare all payroll for GCC countries with accuracy.
- Adhere to payroll timelines and ensure 100% payroll processed as per monthly timelines.
- Processes authorized deductions and allocations of Insurance paid by both the employee and employer in order to calculate precise monthly wages.
- Processes the end of service settlement of exit employees to settle their dues in accordance with the labor law and company policies.
- Create payroll accruals entries for end of service benefits, air-fare, leave, benefits and bonus.
- Reconcile payroll accounts on a monthly basis.
- Responsible for payment / bank transfers within the payroll process.
- Prepare pay slips and dispatch to employees
- Coordinate with Finance for pre and post payroll activities.
- Provide support for company audits related to payroll.
- Ensure all invoices related to Insurance are checked and booked on a timely basis.
- Work closely with CFO’s and HR on a monthly basis for all payroll and benefits related activities.
Qualifications & Characteristics:
- Must possess a minimum Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in processing the entire payroll cycle for UAE or GCC countries.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of GCC labour laws in relation to wages.
- Experience with monthly accruals and reporting is an advantage.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
