DSV is seeking to hire a skilled and passionate Financial Controller, Air & Sea in Melbourne.

The Financial Controller supports the Senior Financial Controllers within the Air & Sea division across Oceania, including Papua New Guinea (PNG). The role focuses on maintaining high-quality financial records, supporting compliance and reporting, and managing shipment-related financial controls such as WIP, accruals, and revenue and cost accuracy. Working closely with senior finance and operational teams, the role supports financial transparency, ESG reporting, and overall business performance.

Your typical day at DSV:

• Assist with month-end activities including preparation of monthly financials, journals, GP reconciliation between TMS and SAP, and review of P&L and balance sheet accuracy.
• Review and manage company prepayments, provisions, accruals (including freight, duties and shipment-related expenses), and WIP run-off against actuals.
• Support Work-In-Progress (WIP) processes including updating WIP schedules, monitoring ageing reports, and assisting with capitalisation in collaboration with business partners.
• Prepare and lodge statutory payments and returns including Payroll Tax, FBT, BAS, GST, IRD and PAYG, while supporting internal controls and compliance requirements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and follow-up of AP invoice posting/coding, while providing general assistance to the finance team as required.
• Collect ESG-related data and assist with ESG reporting, documentation, and other tasks reasonably directed by the manager.

• Relevant industry experience and/or a combination of education and experience.
