DSV Air & Sea is seeking to hire a skilled and passionate Freight Forwarder, Import Air in Sydney.
This position is responsible for arranging the transportation and shipment of Import Air consignments from origin to destination by compiling, completing, and verifying required documents and Cargowise One data in accordance with company policy and procedure and external body regulations.
Your typical day at DSV:
- Coordinate end‑to‑end Import Air shipments by following workflow processes, SOPs, customer instructions, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, airlines, co‑loaders, transport providers, and overseas partners.
- Enter and update shipment data accurately and on time in CargoWise One and Tango.
- Plan and prioritise daily import tasks to meet milestones, KPIs, deadlines, and service expectations.
- Resolve import‑related issues by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and escalating when required.
- Support the Senior Team Lead and Manager with process improvements, daily operational tasks, and project work.
About you:
- Detail‑oriented and committed to operational excellence, with at least 2 years’ experience in Import Air or a similar role.
- Process‑driven team player who follows structured workflows and contributes to efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Strong problem‑solver who takes initiative and escalates issues that impact customers, processes, or revenue.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and experienced with CargoWise One or similar TMS platforms, embracing digital tools and new technology.
- Adaptable, resilient, and motivated to grow in a fast‑paced, evolving logistics environment.
- Technical proficiency in Import Air operations, ICS processes, costing, and general industry requirements.
