DSV Air & Sea  is seeking to hire a skilled and passionate Manager, Sea Freight in Perth.

The Seafreight Manager is responsible for overseeing the business and financial operations of all seafreight files within the branch. This role leads a team of seafreight operators and is accountable for achieving and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs). It plays a critical role in managing departmental costs, driving productivity, and supporting the Branch Manager as needed. 

Your typical day at DSV:

• Staff Engagement & Development: Lead and support the Seafreight team by setting clear goals, providing regular feedback, and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration. Identify development opportunities to build team capability and ensure succession planning is in place to support long-term growth. Encourage continuous improvement and mentor future leaders within the team. 
• Client Engagement & Relationships: Build strong, long-term relationships with key clients by maintaining regular contact and ensuring a customer-first approach. Act as the escalation point for service issues, support tenders and RFQs with the sales team, and identify opportunities for growth and continuous improvement. 
• Operational Excellence:Oversee all import and export Seafreight operations, ensuring compliance with DSV standards and customs regulations. Monitor team performance, drive process improvements, and collaborate with procurement and global offices to ensure accurate documentation, efficient service delivery, and strong supplier relationships. 
• Financial Performance: Ensure accurate cost accruals and reporting to improve profitability and support commercial strategies. Align operational capabilities with business growth objectives through data-driven insights and continuous improvement. 
• QHSE Culture: Promote a strong culture of safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility across the Seafreight team. Ensure adherence to QHSE policies, customs regulations, and DSV Healthcare QMS requirements. 

About you:

• Inspiring leadership with strong people development skills.
• Customer-first mindset with the ability to build lasting partnerships.
• Commercial acumen with a focus on client retention and growth.
• Proven ability to build, develop, and engage high-performing teams.
• Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in international freight forwarding, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping practices, customs requirements, and industry regulations.
