Move forward as Airfreight Gateway Specialist at DSV in Machelen, (Brucargo)

About the role
As an Airfreight Gateway Specialist, you play a key role in keeping shipments moving efficiently through our Brucargo hub. From documentation and airline bookings to compliance and consolidation, you make sure every export leaves our warehouse accurately, safely, and on time. You’ll work in close collaboration with our export teams, airlines and partners worldwide.

You’ll be part of our late shift (14:00 – until closing) from Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday, ensuring that all export operations run smoothly well into the night, when timing and accuracy matter most.

Other Tasks: 

• Handle all required documentation, clearances, and compliance checks for outgoing airfreight shipments;
• Coordinate daily service and communication with ground handlers and airlines to ensure smooth cargo flow;
• Manage airline bookings and calculate shipment profitability to optimize operational efficiency;
• Guarantee compliance for pharma shipments in line with airfreight and GDP standards;
• Identify and correct deviations while maintaining proactive communication across the DSV network;
• Share relevant customs and shipment documents with our Shared Service Center;
• Optimize consolidations and build-ups to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Are you the perfect fit?

• You have a bachelor’s degree in logistics or transport or relevant experience within airfreight;
• You are fluent in English (French is a strong plus)
• You must have a B driver’s license and your own means of transport, as there is no public transport during late shifts;
• You are flexible and ready to work in a late shift or during the weekend (Saturday);
• You are customer- and result-oriented, with strong attention to detail;
• You enjoy working cross-functionally and ensuring all documentation is in order;
