About the role

As Team Lead of our Seafreight Import department in Puurs, you’ll combine hands-on operational work with leadership responsibilities. Together with your team, you will ensure smooth handling of sea import shipments, while coaching, guiding and evaluating your team. You’ll report directly to the Import Manager and help shape the future of the department.

Tasks:

• Leading, coaching and motivating a team of freight forwarders;
• Actively participating in daily operations and import file handling;
• Conducting evaluation and selection interviews;
• Handling escalations and irregularities;
• Ensuring service quality and process optimisation in close cooperation with internal teams like booking and customer care;
• You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of import shipments, including organizing transportation, handling documentation, coordinating customs clearance, and arranging delivery to the final destination.

Are you the perfect fit?

• You have at least 5 years of experience as a Sea Freight Forwarder or already took your first steps in a leadership role within forwarding;
• You speak and write fluently in Dutch and English;
• You are accurate, proactive and a natural team player with strong communication and leadership skills.
