Role Purpose
The Automation Trainee will support the design, development, and implementation of warehouse automation solutions for new and existing clients in APAC. This is an entry-level role designed to provide hands-on exposure to automation technologies, project coordination, and solution design under the guidance of senior specialists.

Key Responsibilities
Learning & Support:
•    Assist in researching automation technologies and solutions available in the market.
•    Support data collection and analysis for cost-benefit studies and ROI calculations.
•    Learn to interpret warehouse layouts and automation design concepts.
•    Participate in vendor meetings and internal discussions to understand solution requirements.
Project Assistance:
•    Help prepare documentation for automation proposals and tender responses (RFI/RFP/RFQ).
•    Assist in coordinating with cross-functional teams (IT, operations, vendors) during project planning.
•    Support project tracking and reporting under supervision.
Technical Exposure:
•    Gain familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and middleware integration concepts.
•    Learn basics of AutoCAD/Visio for layout visualization.
•    Observe and assist during installation and testing phases of automation equipment.

•    Build foundational knowledge of automation technologies and supply chain processes.
•    Develop skills in cost modeling, resource planning, and solution design.
•    Understand project management principles and vendor qualification processes.

Requirements
Education:
•    University Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (or currently pursuing).
Skills & Attributes:
•    Strong interest in automation and technology.
•    Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
•    Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Effective communication and willingness to learn.
Preferred:
•    Exposure to WMS concepts or basic CAD tools is a plus.
•    Internship or academic project experience in automation or logistics is advantageous.
