Key tasks & responsibilities:
Short Term-2026
- Manage oGXD application operations and development activities and ensure decommissioning by the end of 2026.
- Ensure customer-specific features are properly delivered in nGXD (e.g., Merck, CHANEL, Infineon, Daimler, BMW, etc.), coordinating closely with the nGXD team.
- Ensure full integration between the oGXD and nGXD teams, especially in cross-team collaboration, removal of technical barriers, and overall alignment.
Going Forward 2027 and after
- Decommission legacy DSV cross docking systems (e.g. C2C, iPAWS, OAM, etc.) and ensure functional gaps are closed.
- Provide technical support to GXD during the operations phase.
- Guarantee software development quality and co-own Technical Community leadership (e.g., standards, compliance, security, etc.).
- Serve as a candidate for technical lead on future decommissioning projects, e.g. the 18 portal applications which could be replaced by AOI platform.
Profile and Qualifications
1. Cross Docking Domain Expertise
- Deep knowledge of cross docking processes, including inbound and outbound flows, warehouse handling, interfaces with upstream and downstream systems (e.g., TMS, ESB, CIS, Carriers systems, etc), and exception handling.
- Strong understanding of how system design and data flows impact cross docking operational efficiency.
- Ability to translate cross docking requirements into clear product and system designs.
- Acts as a domain expert to support product strategy, roadmap definition, and prioritization throughout the product development lifecycle.
2. Leadership & Team Management
- Proven leadership experience with 10+ years in management roles, leading teams at least 10 or more people across different roles.
- Demonstrated ability to build, coach, and retain high-performing teams while fostering accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, able to align targets and priorities across different teams, including IT, business, end users, and partners.
- Strong can-do attitude, with the ability to drive change and commit to delivering results in complex and global environments.
3. Technical Competency
- Strong hands-on experience in Java software development, having played the role of core or lead developer in past projects, and willing to dive into code when needed.
- Hands-on experience managing legacy Schenker software development standards, quality gates, and technology stacks.
- Deep knowledge of common software development processes, tools, and best practices, including CI/CD, code quality, testing strategies, and DevOps practices.
