Join an ambitious Direct Product Analytics Team
As part of the Direct Product Analytics Team in the DSV Road division located at our headquarters in Hedehusene, you will work closely with both local colleagues and as part of a larger European team. We are a diverse group of specialists with varied backgrounds, both operational and technically qualified. The Direct Product is responsible for LTL, FTL traffic, as well as our special products for automotive, Healthcare, Retail Distribution Services, and White Glove services within our Road Division.

Help build up the future of the Direct Product
In this position, you will get the opportunity to take part in international projects for existing and future traffics and networks, and work with the operational team to ensure that we continuously look for ways to improve our analytical competencies and capabilities.

As a Business Analyst, you will be collaborating closely with the operational experts in the team. You will take the lead on analytical tasks related to our analytics projects, as well as assist and drive internal projects to develop and improve analytical capabilities.

Your tasks will include:

Manage and execute optimisation tasks in projects within our Direct Product.
Contribute to and/or take responsibility for analytical work related to optimisation projects.
Create and maintain master data structures and content.
Communicate complex analysis results in a simple, clear, and concise way.
Develop and maintain new data analysis tools and services - including specialist software.

An analytical talent passionate about operational challenges
The typical candidate has a degree within industrial engineering, data science, supply chain management, transport and logistics, operations research, or other relevant fields with a mathematical and analytical focus. The right candidate is a team player with a strong drive, takes initiative, and thrives in a changing environment.  They are meticulous and motivated to understand operational challenges.

In addition to these qualities, we are looking for a candidate with the following:

0-3 years of professional experience in a similar position
Great analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail
Advanced proficiency in data processing using tools like MS Excel, Python, SQL, or others.
Experience in Operations Research, doing data analysis and visualisation.
Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills
Communicates fluently in English, both written and otherwise.

Familiarity with or experience in network optimisation, location modelling or transport network design is an advantage.
