To shape and own the long-term technology vision, we are looking for a seasoned Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This is a fundamentally strategic role and a great opportunity for a technology leader to act as catalyst for further growth.  

In this newly created role, the CTO will be responsible for successful development and implementation of technology strategies and plans, effectively managing DSV’s technology needs to meet anticipated trends, while ensuring effective communication of the technology vision to both senior leadership and the organisation.

Reporting directly to the Group CIO, the role is organisationally placed in DSV’s Global IT organisation. Location is DSV headquarters in Hedehusene, near Copenhagen.

Key responsibilities 
Technology strategy and vision development:

• Work closely with senior leadership to ensure the required technology capabilities to support and enable the DSV business and goals
• Translate business needs into technical solutions, establishing a seamless link between technology and the overarching business strategy.
• Develop and ensure implementation of technology strategy

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Close collaboration with DSV senior leadership to understand needs and how technology can enable the DSV business.
• Effective communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment with overall company strategy

Leadership & Collaboration:

• Develop and retain high performing teams to meet the current and evolving needs of the area.
• Champion thought leadership within own area, across DSV and Global IT.
• Member of the Global IT Executive Committee driving the future of DSV Global IT.

Proven technology leader with strong business acumen
The ideal candidate combines a strong interest in driving technology strategy and innovation with proven experience as a CTO or in a comparable senior technology leadership role within a complex, growth-oriented business environment. A demonstrated ability to shape clear visions and strategies—and to successfully ensure their implementation—is a key factor for success in this role.

In addition, we emphasise the following qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, driving performance and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions.
• Significant experience in leading digital transformation
• Strong experience and understanding of modern software development processes
• Bachelor's or master's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Have a strong personal drive and ability to execute and deliver results. 
• Be robust, stable and possess a high degree of resilience. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. 
• Strategic thinker with a global, enterprise mindset and the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
