You will join a leadership team reporting directly to the VP of Group Finance Business Partnering at our HQ in Hedehusene. From here, you will head a team of four Business Controllers, with one team member working from Bucharest.

Integrate financial insights to empower senior business decision-making

Your main objective will be to act as a strategic advisor to senior business leaders across our logistics network. You will lead financial engagement with operational and commercial stakeholders, ensuring that financial insights and business intelligence are integrated into strategic and tactical decision-making.

In your role as team lead, you will oversee performance planning, support initiatives, drive profitability improvement and ensure alignment between financial outcomes and business objectives across all trade lanes, services and regions.

Demonstrating a hands-on leadership style, you will:

• Act as the key finance partner to global and regional leadership teams (e.g., CEO, COO, CCO)
• Lead and coordinate financial reports for strategic business decisions, growth plans and investment cases
• Translate commercial and operational performance into financial implications and business insights
• Ensure stakeholder satisfaction with finance business support – such as ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial planning inputs (budgets, forecasts, scenario models)

You communicate clearly, effectively and to the point

To be a trusted advisor to senior leadership, you will need strong communication skills – and the ability to respectfully stand your ground when deemed necessary. You have experience in leading teams as well as influencing decision-makers and stakeholders above you.

With excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset, you are well-equipped to operate effectively in fast-paced and globally diverse environments.

Even if your logistics experience is limited, your curiosity and drive to learn could make you an excellent candidate for the role. Most importantly, we are looking for you to bring:

• experience in a senior finance business partnering or controlling role
• proficiency in financial planning and BI tools (SAP, Power BI, CargoWise)
• experience from a global or regional role within a matrix organisation or consultancy  
• a degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics  
• strong proficiency in English
