Job Req Number: 108889
Time Type: Full Time
Do you want to work with state-of-the-art technology while owning our processes and standards for master data, thereby gaining high visibility in a global organisation?
And are you ready to have the final say in how master data-related features are designed when we build our first-ever enterprise data platform (EDP) – the most important strategic project in our business right now?
“The timing is great if you want to influence how we work with master data in the future. Because the EDP will become the very foundation of all our future IT development,” says the manager of Data and Systems Maintenance.
Join a collaborative team with high impact
You will join 9 other colleagues in Data and Systems Maintenance, right at the interface between IT and business, where we collaborate to ensure governance. And even though we are geographically spread out across China, Germany, Poland, and Denmark, we still think and act as one team.
”We’re the ones who keep an eye on the details to ensure that rules and standards are followed in the dynamic, high-paced environment that DSV is known for. This requires good communication and a high level of team spirit and support – and luckily, that’s exactly what you will find in our team,” the manager continues.
Own our processes and standards – and strive for continuous improvement
You will be the go-to person for master data requirements related to the EDP – a brand-new platform that will consolidate all internal and external sources of data. Your main objective is to ensure that our governance remains uncompromised as you decide when to adapt to new requirements and when to adhere to current standards.
You will spend more than half of your time collaborating with stakeholders across IT and the business, such as group process specialists, our shared service centre, the EDP team, and various managers.
Some of your tasks will be to:
- Ensure that standards across interfaces and services are followed, optimise processes, and develop technical concepts
- Coordinate root-cause analyses of data deviations, non-working interfaces, or suboptimal processes
- Manage projects related to master data to improve data quality, processes, and the integration between different systems
- Conduct audits, gather lessons learned, and implement improvements with an emphasis on standardisation and automation
- Ensure extensive documentation and identify, manage, and mitigate risks to relevant processes
Experienced process owner and communicator with a technical overview
While you are curious to understand others’ perspectives, you stand firm when needed – especially because of your strong understanding of the importance of governance for the entire business.
As a strong planner, you drive change rather than being driven by it. This is especially true because you proactively seek the knowledge you need to stay abreast of developments, both technically and organisationally.
Furthermore, we imagine that you:
- Have experience with master data, data governance, and related systems (e.g. SAP S/4 MDG) – and perhaps even with an enterprise data platform
- Have experience with interface and integration technologies, especially JSON and XML, and you have knowledge of APIs
- Know how agile processes work and how to use them to your advantage to get your tasks prioritised in sprints
- Have experience with project and process management
- Can communicate about highly technical topics with a variety of stakeholders and adjust your level of detail accordingly
