Global Transport and Logistics

Global

Job Req Number:  112637
Time Type: Full Time

This is your chance to seize an opportunity that does not come around every day. If you are a project manager with MarCom experience, then join us as we centralize our MarCom efforts in Europe.

You do not need a ton of experience. What you need is the drive and excitement about building something brand new – including your role – in the largest transport and logistics company in the world.

“You’ll be a part of building this setup from the ground up. It will give you a steep learning curve and the chance to create a ‘one-brand’ signature for DSV, streamlining our MarCom efforts,” explains Birgitte Hansson, Senior Manager, Regional MarCom Lead Europe.

Join a Regional MarCom Europe team

You will be based in Hedehusene with our Global MarCom team of 20 colleagues. Here, you will be part of our Regional MarCom Europe team which is in its early build phase with an ambitious roadmap. Over the next year, you will be a part of shaping the central team and ways of working in line with DSV’s new operating model. For 50 years, our MarCom activities have grown out of strong decentralized expertise across our markets. With the recent merger and acquisition of Schenker, the European MarCom team has been born to centralize the marketing and communication efforts across Europe. The future setup has been mapped, and together with the team you will embark on the rollout journey – with large change and project management tasks ahead.

“A lot of MarCom initiatives will be corporate and centralized but executed locally. We are the ones to communicate what needs to be done and to also hear the input from the different countries, building solid lines of communication across cultures,” says Birgitte.

Drive projects in line with global standards, governance, and enterprise roll outs

Working closely with the Regional MarCom Lead, who will also be your direct manager, you will be her primary operational sparring partner, ensuring effective execution of strategic and cross regional MarCom initiatives.

You will be independently responsible for driving projects in line with global standards, governance and enterprise rollouts, focusing on alignment, execution and stakeholder management across the region.

Specifically, you will contribute to the activation of global campaigns and communication initiatives, supporting regional alignment and execution in close collaboration with the countries as you:

  • Ensure alignment between global, regional, and local MarCom initiatives.
  • Manage stakeholders across the region, countries, and global functions.
  • Provide regional input and insights to support relevance and execution of global initiatives.
  • Prepare decision material, presentations, and status updates.
  • Monitor progress, risks, and dependencies across projects.

While your role will initially focus on building the team and the enterprise, over time, your work will take on a stronger relational and communications focus between corporate and regions.

Project management experience and MarCom knowledge
“I’m looking for someone who can create structure and isn’t afraid to take on a challenge. Specifically, you can operate and collaborate effectively in a complex, international organization, communicating changes and initiatives to a variety of stakeholders,” says Birgitte.

Finally, we imagine that you:

  • Have around 5 years of experience with project management in an international B2B organization.
  • Understand corporate marketing and communication, including governance, campaign execution across markets, and enterprise initiatives.
  • Possess stakeholder and change management skills across functions and countries.
  • May hold a degree in marketing, communication, business, project management, or similar.
  • Are fluent in English.
