Global Transport and Logistics

Global

Job Req Number:  113374
Time Type: Full Time

Take this career-defining opportunity to gain full ownership of a global, customer-facing digital platform within the world’s largest logistics and transport company.
In this role, you will shape and execute the multi-year vision for our customer self-service portal used across air and ocean freight as you operate at the intersection of commercial, operations, and technology.

Join us to drive our digital transformation and deliver measurable business impact at scale, collaborating across global and regional teams in our matrix organization.

Collaborate across the organization
Heading up a product squad of junior and senior product managers, you will be central in driving the divisional vision for our customer-facing self-service portal. This means you will own the roadmap and ensure that the platform and its underlying services deliver measurable value to customers, commercial teams, and operational stakeholders. You will bridge commercial, operational, and technology functions, acting as the primary business liaison between Air & Sea commercial leadership, operations, technology, and global digital teams.

You work from strategy to delivery

In this role, you will be fully accountable for the strategy, business objectives, product definition, delivery, and continuous improvement of the customer self-service portal – as well as the supporting services architecture that powers it across air and ocean freight products. This also entails owning the end-to-end portal customer experience; from onboarding and authentication through quote request, booking, shipment visibility, exception notification, document retrieval, reporting, and analytics.

Specifically, you will:

  • Translate business objectives, customer insights, and market trends into a prioritized, outcome-driven portal product backlog, aligning with enterprise product teams for delivery.
  • Define OKRs and KPIs and report regularly on portal performance while benchmarking capabilities against global freight forwarding competitors and adjacent logistics platforms.
  • Define portal requirements and user experience standards for customers, suppliers, and freight intermediaries, prioritizing features based on user research and commercial impact.
  • Drive improvements in portal adoption, self-service utilization, and customer satisfaction across key segments.
  • Ensure seamless integration with downstream operational platforms (and upstream commercial tools via microservices APIs in collaboration with enterprise teams and IT.
  • Define the divisional API strategy in partnership with Solution Architecture and IT, ensuring scalable, reusable, and resilient microservices.

Solid experience in product management, digital transformation, or technology leadership

We are looking for a new colleague who has experience working in a matrix organization across enterprise, divisional, and regional teams. Moreover, you possess excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills, and finally, we imagine that you:

  • Hold a degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, combined with several years of experience in product management, digital transformation, or technology leadership within freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain.
  • Have proven experience leading a customer-facing self-service portal or digital platform product in a B2B or logistics context, delivering large-scale digital products from discovery to production and adoption.
  • Possess a strong understanding of air freight and ocean freight operations, including shipment workflows, documentation (AWB, BL, customs), pricing/rating, and carrier relationships.
  • Have a strong commercial acumen with the ability to build business cases, manage budgets, and articulate product value financially.
  • Have experience working with microservices or API-first product programmes, including collaboration on service design and platform architecture.
