Senior team lead for sustainability strategy and reporting

We are looking for an experienced team leader, who will assume responsibility for driving DSV’s Sustainability strategy and reporting and lead a small, dedicated team including DSV’s strategic charity partnership, local community engagement and communication.

You will join DSV at our headquarters in Hedehusene and will assume the leadership of a small but highly experienced Sustainability Strategy and Reporting team. You will be acting as “playing coach” and contribute to carrying out the task in the team, while driving the entire team’s performance and being people manager. The team is part of the Group Sustainability and Compliance department with +65 employees across the world.

Tasks:

• Responsible for DSV’s Sustainability Statement in our Annual Report (DMA, compliance manual, qualitative disclosures and assurance process).
• Driving the development of DSV’s Sustainability strategy against stakeholder expectations and our DMA.
• Secretariat for DSV Executive Sustainability Board.
• Developing presentations for DSV Bord of Directors and Audit Committee to support their oversight of DSV’s Sustainability Strategy and performance.
• Development and implementation of DSV’s strategic global charity partnerships (UNICEF).
• Responsible for DSV’s Impact Platform – local community engagement.

You will work closely with your colleagues in the GSC Department, who drive DSV’s Compliance program, Human Rights and Health and Safety program and who work proactively with external ESG rating agencies and provide sustainability support for our commercial accounts.

You will also work in very close alignment with DSV colleagues outside the GSC department, namely our Group Operational Sustainability team, who is responsible for DSV’s Decarbonization and Waste strategies, and Group Sustainability Insights who is responsible for DSV’s ESG data collection and controlling.

You will report to Vice President Group Sustainability and Compliance, and you will have two experienced senior sustainability managers as direct reports.

You have:

• Excellent stakeholder and cooperation competencies and have experience in driving performance and achieving results in complex organizational settings.
• Several years of experience in working with sustainability strategy and reporting, perhaps in a listed company or as auditor (revisor).
• Previous management experience – either in a manager role or as project/program manager. If you come to us with no formal management experience, you will be offered leadership training in your first year with us.
• Excellent communication and writing skills (English) – you will be putting words to DSV’s sustainability commitments, strategy and performance and you understand the importance and value of good communication.
• You are comfortable in making decisions, you actively push for improvements and have a keen understanding of how sustainability interacts with business requirements and support commercial value propositions.
• You are familiar with navigating relevant DK and EU reporting requirements.
