DSV’s Center of Excellence for Cargo Drones is seeking a Student Assistant – Remote Drone Operator to join our pioneering team. You will play a key role in operating drones across Europe from our headquarters in Hedehusene, ensuring cargo reaches its destination safely and efficiently.
Our team is dedicated to advancing drone operations within DSV, focusing on compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. You will be part of a dynamic environment where precision, structure, and proactive thinking are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Remotely control cargo drones from the DSV control room in Hedehusene.
- Ensure all flights are logged and reported in compliance with the operations manual and regulations.
- Maintain a calm and structured approach during operations, even under pressure.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with on-site crews via radio.
- Contribute ideas for operational improvements and support the evolution of drone operations.
We imagine that you
- Are likely in your second or third year of a technical or IT-related study (e.g., robotics, autonomous systems, data science), but other backgrounds with relevant skills are welcome.
- Have experience or interest in remote operations or automated systems.
- Are highly structured, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Possess strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Speak and write English at a business level.
You will work 15–20 hours per week, flexible during exam periods.
