Welcome to Operational Sustainability

We reside in the department Group Operational Sustainability. Together, we are currently 5 colleagues and growing, based across Europe. We are responsible for operationalizing decarbonization initiatives and driving operational measures. You will be part of a fast-moving environment focused on innovation, creativity, and driving things forward.

Lead and manage our Carbon Fund and run environmental sustainability projects

Based in Hedehusene, Denmark, alongside several colleagues from Group Operational Sustainability, you will lead and manage our Carbon Fund and run environmental sustainability projects at Group level. The aim is to effectively use our Carbon Fund to support and enable measurable progress on decarbonisation roadmaps and our customer offerings as part of the Decarbonising Logistics Product Portfolio.

Overseeing the Carbon Fund Programme, supporting the divisional and regional/country decarbonisation roadmaps, strategies, and commercial offerings while delivering sustainability projects on time and scope, you will:

• Review and submit business cases related to the Carbon Fund and manage finance process related to the Fund
• Prepare executive and management reports on the Fund, including our monthly carbon funding report
• Internally promote, develop, and disseminate communications and updates related to Fund updates
• Deliver training and guidance on Fund processes and applications
• Support and contribute to strategic campaigns for divisional decarbonisation roadmaps, collaborating closely with divisional and Group function stakeholders

Solid experience with operational sustainability

We are looking for a methodical and analytical thinker who can translate those thoughts into a practical and structured approach. You are a strong communicator, allowing you to develop good professional relationships. Also, you have the ability to drive processes and projects with tenacity in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.

Finally, we imagine that you:

• Hold a master’s degree in Sustainability, Business Management, or a related field
• Have solid experience with operational sustainability
• Have experience in project management
• Are able to carry out data analysis and translate into data driven recommendations
• Possess a solid financial understanding
• Are fluent in written and verbal English
