Job Req Number: 113327
Time Type: Full Time
This is your chance to join us at a unique time as we are developing and implementing our QMS and compliance standards globally across our product verticals.
Would you like to be part of building this framework with a dedicated team of compliance managers at the largest transport and logistics company in the world?
“I often say that compliance is a business enabler — in this role, you’re contributing directly to the success of a global leader. You’ll collaborate with colleagues from across the world, and with our multiple global verticals, there’s no shortage of opportunities to learn. We’ll start with the skills you already have and build from there,” says Gro Liva Kardel, Manager, Group Vertical Compliance.
Step into a truly international team
Our new colleague will hopefully join our team by July 1st or as soon as possible thereafter. You will be based in Hedehusene, Denmark, and join our Vertical Compliance Support Team, which is part of the wider Group compliance function in DSV. You will be the fifth compliance manager in a team currently based in Singapore, Dubai, the Netherlands, and Panama. Together, we will drive compliance in DSV business verticals globally. This includes training, auditing, and following up with all the different departments.
“For me, a strong team is one where people feel free to be themselves and speak openly. I make it a priority to stay connected with colleagues across countries, to check in regularly, and to create space for both questions and knowledge sharing. At the same time, there’s genuine room to talk about what’s meaningful in our lives beyond work. That balance strengthens our collaboration and our trust,” says Gro Liva
Ensure compliance with global vertical requirements
You will play a crucial role in supporting the endorsement of the Vertical Quality Management System (VerticalQMS). This entails ensuring compliance with global vertical requirements, supporting operational teams, and driving continuous improvement across countries and branches.
While we work as a global team, your primary point of attention will be to drive the VerticalQMS compliance efforts in Europe. Being the primary point of contact for several European colleagues provides a unique opportunity to collect and harvest valuable operational insights that are crucial for the continued improvements across VerticalQMS frameworks. Likewise, you will make sure to enforce updates as directed by the vertical framework leads and SMEs to the business.
Moreover, you will:
- Deliver training for teams on the VerticalQMS, compliance processes, and operational requirements, identify local training needs, gaps, or development needs, and support the continued development of current training materials.
- Complete compliance audits, participate in customer, certification, or regulatory audits, and support the close-out of findings and corrective actions.
- Ensure nonconformities, customer complaints, and escalations are addressed promptly, and assist in risk assessments, change controls, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Support and spar with the vertical support team, coordinate with and provide operational feedback to the Senior Compliance Manager, and collaborate with vertical leads, support teams, SME groups, and operational stakeholders.
- Ensure that local compliance supports customer requirements and sector-specific standards.
You can expect to travel approximately 4-6 weeks a year, primarily within Northern Europe. However many regular audits will be carried out digitally, and we will ensure the needed level of flexibility to maintain a sustainable work-life balance.
Your audit knowledge is on point
You do not have to know everything in advance, but as a person, you are curious, eager to learn, and not afraid to take initiative and bring in new ideas. Moreover, you are outgoing and have solid stakeholder skills, allowing you to talk to colleagues across functions and seniority.
Finally, this position will require that you:
- Bring solid experience as a certified lead auditor, ideally with a background in the tech, pharmaceutical, or defense sectors.
- Possess a strong command of quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
- Demonstrate documented experience navigating compliance and regulatory demands in fast paced, commercially driven environments.
- Can translate framework requirements into practical, operational actions.
- Have a proven track record of training stakeholders with varying levels of familiarity in QMS requirements, audit methodologies, and best practices.
- Communicate fluently in English.
