KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implementing and executing the financial strategy of DSV Hungary in consideration of legal requirements and tax-related specifications, shaping the holistic goals set and complying with regulatory necessities as well as DSV standards and processes;
  • Ensuring high quality standards of all accounting processes as well as permanent monitoring of financial accounting legislation, financial reporting standards and specific procedures on local and group level
  • Managing the implementation of new standard processes and systems, assuring consistent operations and providing critical commercial and operational information;
  • Ensuring strict compliance with the legal provisions regarding the integrity of assets within the area of responsibility and take all legal countermeasures; monitor economic results and oversee environmental, economic and compliance risks and operate the respective group wide information process;
  • Leading and inspiring the assigned teams, by encouraging high performance and space for development in a positive and supporting working environment.

 

 

 

EDUCATION BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE:

 

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline; professional certification;
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in finance area in a people management or leadership role within comparable environment;
  • Strong understanding and extensive experience in financial and accounting laws and practices on a local level;
  • Competence to operate in SAP and MS Office applications; experience in working with Shared Service Centers is desirable;
  • Deep understanding of and experience in managing all aspects of finance/accounting activities, including e.g. structured planning, organizational and performance management, costs, accounts payable, accounts receivable, intercompany, asset and taxes;
  • Fluency in English is a must.

 

 

SKILLS & COMPETENCES REQUIRED:

 

  • Extensive track record in developing, leading and motivating cross functional and virtual teams to outstanding levels of performance;
  • Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies for the financial, risk and administrative management activities, experience in the harmonization and integration of organizations with multinational locations is desirable;
  • Competence in partnering with relevant internal and external stakeholders on all matters related to financial strategy;
  • Mindset, driven by strong problem-solving skills, in addition to a hands-on mentality and result-oriented actions;
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines as well as ability to manage a variety of projects in a high-paced environment;
  • Exceptional, transparent and direct communication skills tailored to different levels of an organization;
