Role: Freight Forwarder – Sea Freight
Location: Blanchardstown
Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30
We are looking for a Freight Forwarder to join our Sea Freight team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing sea freight shipments end to end, ensuring full visibility, accurate administration, and excellent communication with customers and stakeholders. You will play a key role in delivering high service levels, proactively managing exceptions, and supporting departmental and business objectives.
What will you be doing?
Manage sea freight shipments end to end, ensuring full visibility and control throughout the supply chain.
Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, providing timely updates and managing expectations.
Ensure all activities are completed in line with agreed service levels, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Coordinate with shipping lines, non-vessel operating common carriers (NVOCCs), ports, transport providers, and overseas offices.
Proactively identify and manage exceptions, resolving issues before they impact customer operations.
Maintain accurate system data, including file opening, in-transit reporting, and invoicing.
Coordinate with customs brokerage teams to ensure smooth and compliant clearance processes.
Support collaborative information sharing across internal and external stakeholders in real time.
Contribute to departmental, branch, and company objectives through continuous improvement and quality focus.
About You
Experience in office administration and customer service within a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in Freight Forwarding a distinct advantage.
Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
Good understanding of data management systems and accurate data entry.
Confident IT skills (intermediate level in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Customer-focused mindset with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Commitment to quality, compliance, and Health & Safety standards.
