Role: Health & Safety Coordinator
Location: Ballycoolin
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm
We are looking for a Health & Safety Coordinator to support safety, compliance, and security activities within our high‑security warehouse environment. This role is vital in maintaining legal compliance, reducing risk, and promoting a strong safety culture across the site. You will work closely with warehouse, security, and management teams to ensure safe working practices, accurate documentation, and continuous safety improvements.
What will you be doing?
- Support implementation and maintenance of site Health & Safety policies, procedures, and safe systems of work.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant H\&S legislation, codes of practice, and internal standards.
- Assist with audits, inspections, and regulatory visits, ensuring actions are completed.
- Maintain accurate Health & Safety documentation, records, and reports.
- Conduct and review risk assessments and RAMS.
- Identify hazards across warehouse operations including MHE, manual handling, and working at height.
- Support investigations into incidents, near misses, and accidents, ensuring corrective actions are followed through.
- Ensure H\&S practices align with security protocols in restricted‑access areas.
- Liaise with security teams to balance and uphold both safety and security requirements.
- Monitor contractor compliance with safety and security standards.
- Deliver H\&S inductions, weekly toolbox talks, and refresher training as required.
- Act as a key point of contact for H\&S queries from staff and contractors.
- Track and report KPIs such as incidents, near misses, and training completion.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
About You
- Experience working in a warehouse, logistics, or industrial environment.
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and best practice.
- Experience conducting risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Strong organisational, communication, and reporting skills.
- Comfortable working within a secure, compliance‑driven environment.
- Detail‑oriented, methodical, proactive, and solutions‑focused.
- Confident communicator with strong confidentiality awareness.
Desirable:
- Experience in high‑security or regulated environments.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar management systems.
- Experience coordinating audits or inspections.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
- First Aid at Work certification.
