 Who do we look for? 

DSV is looking for an experienced and highly driven API Support lead to drive our enterprise API support operations. This role combines strong technical expertise with operational leadership and governance capabilities to ensure stable, scalable, and customer-focused API platform support services across global operations.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in redefining support processes, establishing operational governance standards, driving platform stability, and leading a high-performing support organization. The role requires close collaboration with development teams, platform engineering teams, business stakeholders, and external integration partners. The environment includes both cloud and on-premises API management platforms

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operational Management
•    Lead and manage the API Support function, including day-to-day operations, workload distribution, escalations, and service delivery. 
•    Define, establish, and continuously improve global API support processes and operational frameworks. 
•    Drive operational excellence with strong focus on governance, compliance, accountability, and SLA adherence. 
•    Act as the primary escalation point for critical incidents and high-impact production issues. 
•    Build a high-performance support culture focused on ownership, quality, and customer satisfaction. 
•    Mentor and develop team members through coaching, performance management, and technical guidance. 
•    Support API gateway operations, integrations, connectivity troubleshooting, certificate management, security policies, and deployment validations. 
•    Collaborate with platform engineering and development teams to improve platform reliability, monitoring, automation, and observability. 
•    Participate in architecture and operational readiness discussions for new platform initiatives.
•    Collaborate with development teams, platform teams, architects, and business stakeholders. 
•    Act as a bridge between technical and business teams to ensure effective communication and issue resolution. 
•    Coordinate with external vendors and internal infrastructure teams when required. 
•    Drive alignment between support operations and strategic platform objectives. 
•    Documentation, Training & Knowledge Management
•    Own and coordinate operational documentation, runbooks, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge articles. 
•    Establish knowledge management standards and ensure documentation remains current and audit compliant. 
•    Coordinate onboarding and training programs for support engineers and operational teams. 
•    Promote continuous learning and platform capability development within the team

Process Governance & Service Management
•    Establish strict process governance standards across support operations. 
•    Ensure all incidents, changes, problems, and service requests follow defined operational procedures. 
•    Define KPIs, operational metrics, reporting standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. 
•    Drive root cause analysis and preventive action processes for recurring issues. 
•    Implement and enforce documentation standards, audit readiness, and operational controls. 
•    Lead service transition activities for new APIs, platforms, and integrations entering production support. 
Requirements
•    10+ years of experience in API support, middleware support, integration support, or platform operations. 
•    4+ years of experience leading a team in integration or middleware area.
•    Strong experience with IBM API Connect or similar products
•    Strong understanding of:
•    REST/SOAP integrations 
•    Kubernetes concepts 
•    Cloud computing
•    Networking and security fundamentals 
•    SSL/TLS certificates 
•    API gateway operations 
•    Incident, problem, and change management processes 
•    Experience driving operational governance and process standardization in enterprise environments. 
•    Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making capabilities. 
•    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 
•    Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices. 
•    Knowledge of monitoring and observability platforms. 
•    ITIL process understanding or certification. 
•    Experience in global enterprise support environments. 
•    Exposure to automation and scripting for operational efficiency
