This role is to lead and oversee all aspects of the human resources function, ensuring that HR strategies and practices align with business goals. This role is responsible for workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, learning and development, compensation and benefits, and compliance with Malaysia’s labour laws. The HR Manager partners with management to build a positive work culture, support employee engagement, and drive organizational effectiveness.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational objectives.
•    Act as business partner to the Country/ Branch management.
•    Oversee the recruitment and selection process to attract and retain top talent.
•    Lead performance management initiatives, including appraisals, goal setting, and employee development plans.
•    Advise managers on employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent resolution in compliance with labour laws.
•    Manage compensation and benefits programs to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
•    Oversee training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
•    Ensure compliance with all employment laws, and HR policies.
•    Provide HR metrics and reports to management for decision-making.
•    Drive employee engagement initiatives and promote a positive workplace culture.
•    Lead HR team members, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback

 

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Malaysia’s Labor laws, employment regulations, and best HR practices.Minimum 6–10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Experience managing full-spectrum HR functions in a mid-to-large organization.
  • Exposure to strategic HR planning and change management projects.
  • Experience or involvement in HR aspects of mergers and acquisitions are an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Master of Human Resource or Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD) is an advantage.
