The Manager, Data & Systems Maintenance is responsible for managing a team of GPO/S (process owners & specialists). The role focuses on strategic aspects rather than operational and is responsible for overseeing the long term value of the department. This includes, but is not limited to, change management, stakeholder management, employee management, project management. The department includes current and legacy systems (MDG, ERP, DMT, CMP, CPI and any other systems under the MDM umbrella), system integrations, data distribution, downstream systems data management, reference data management (RDM), SRQs / change requests for all systems improvements and other. A key focus of this department is standardizations and automations within MDM thus vital to collaborate within MDM and be highly educated in governance across MDM.
Responsibilities:
- Set strategic goals for team, aligned with mgmt. & organizational goals
- Continuously develop & motivate team, provide tools / resources needed to meet strategic goals
- Prioritize the well being and work life balance of the team
- Build fact & number-based business cases to management for decisions utilizing various tools and techniques
- Stakeholder management, communication, cross functional collaboration with upper management and stakeholders regardless of level
- Oversee departmental projects to ensure set targets are achieved
- Ad-hoc requests from upper management
- Ensure all documentation is consistently reviewed, updated and published
- Ensure risks to BPMD processes are identified, planned and mitigated
- Strategically identify DQM tools that help manage data quality, build business cases for management for decisions and implement approved tools
- Ensure DQM targets are met
- Ensure strategic & systematic root cause analysis on low data quality and ensure long term corrective actions are swiftly implemented
- Ensure the E&T governance is respected by all parties
- Ensure strategic trainings are conducted benefiting all parties
- Ensure Audits governance is respected by all parties
- Ensure an improvement pipeline is built, prioritized, approved by management where needed and improvements implemented
- Professional skills development by participation in training and constant self-education
Requirements:
- Must have experience managing a team - Ability to motivate, coach, communicate, develop
- English fluent
- Must have experience with Customer, Vendor, Bank, IC and various other business partner related master data management processes
- Must have experience with process management - mapping, descriptions, improving processes utilizing various methodologies
- Nice to have Experience with MDG & ERP
- Experience utilizing Lean and Six Sigma for continuous improvement, root cause analysis
- Project management knowledge e.g. planning, prioritization, risk / issue management
- Strong problem-solving skills, decision-making capabilities and high accountability
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with tight deadlines while maintaining a healthy work life balance
- Project management, Lean, Six Sigma experience is an advantage
