Enterprise Transformation (ET) is a rapidly growing department responsible for new Enterprise Products, Data Science, Operations and Support for the Enterprise Products in our portfolio, and a Centre of Excellence that aims to make it easier, faster, and better to architect, build and test software.

The Role / Responsibilities – Senior Test Automation Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer with expertise in both automated and manual testing, a deep understanding of testing strategies, and a passion for driving shift-left practices. As part of a dynamic supply chain project, the role demands a proactive, problem-solving mindset, strong stakeholder management, and exceptional communication skills.
The successful candidate will identify opportunities to streamline testing processes, enhance quality standards, and foster alignment across teams. Proficiency in Playwright, scripting with JavaScript or TypeScript, and extensive experience testing public and internal APIs is essential. Prior experience with Transport Management Systems and financial systems is a significant advantage.
- Shift Left Approach: Experienced with the “Shift Left” testing methodology, integrating testing activities early in the development lifecycle to identify and fix defects sooner, so a faster feedback loop and Less surprises in the end. This also includes working closely with the developers and encouraging them to participate in building the tests.
- Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts for front-end applications using Playwright, transforming them into end-to-end regression test suites. Automate API testing with tools like Playwright or Postman.
- Manual testing: Develop and maintain manual test plans when it cannot be automated.
- Test Strategy and Plans: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement test strategies, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and efficient execution.
- Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, working closely with DevOps to ensure seamless deployment and release processes.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track bugs using relevant tools, and work with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to the entire team, developing a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team. In addition, to build the atmosphere that Quality as a responsibility of the entire team and not just testers.
- Communication: Clearly communicate testing progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with project goals. Building automated reports and dashboards.
- Forward Thinker: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and tools in test automation and propose innovative solutions to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Experience
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in automation testing. If possible, from a supply chain background
- Shift Left Expertise: Proven experience in implementing shift-left principles with a focus on early defect prevention and collaboration with development teams.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Playwright, JavaScript, TypeScript, and related testing frameworks.
- Strong API testing expertise using Playwright , Postman or other related tools.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab), knowledge of core development language would be a plus
- Familiarity with Atlassian Jira, Xray, and Confluence.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
