Team Leadership & Supervision
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate daily activities of Material Handler Specialists to ensure operational targets and service levels are met.
- Allocate workloads, set priorities, and ensure appropriate manpower coverage for daily operations.
- Provide on-the-job coaching, mentoring, and guidance to team members to enhance skills, productivity, and service quality.
- Conduct regular performance monitoring, feedback, and preliminary performance evaluations.
- Support onboarding, training, and skills development for new and existing team members.
Operations & Material Handling Oversight
- Oversee end-to-end material handling and logistics-related activities, including order processing, shipment coordination, inventory movement, and issue resolution.
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in material handling processes and documentation.
- Act as the escalation point for complex operational or customer-related issues that cannot be resolved by Material Handler Specialists.
- Coordinate closely with warehouse, logistics, transportation, and internal support teams to resolve operational challenges efficiently.
Customer Service & Issue Resolution
- Support the team in managing customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests related to logistics and material handling.
- Ensure proactive communication with customers regarding order status, shipment updates, delays, or disruptions.
- Handle escalated customer issues professionally, ensuring timely resolution while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Ensure team adherence to established SOPs, policies, safety guidelines, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Assist in reviewing, updating, and implementing SOPs and work instructions.
- Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
Reporting & Documentation
- Monitor key operational and customer service metrics such as turnaround time, resolution time, accuracy, and service quality.
- Prepare and submit operational reports, summaries, and performance updates to management.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of transactions, issues, and resolutions in relevant systems.
Communication & Collaboration
- Serve as the main liaison between Material Handler Specialists and management.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication within the team and with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support management initiatives and communicate operational goals, changes, and expectations to the team.
