Job Posting Title: Procurement Manager, Drayage Dispatch Solutions Air & Sea US

Summary

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, procuring and pricing Drayage Services for DSV. The successful candidate will ensure that all services are procured at the best possible cost, quality, and delivery time, while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate potential transportation and logistics service providers
  • Negotiate rates, terms, and conditions with suppliers
  • Manage contracts and ensure compliance with contractual agreements
  • Monitor supplier performance and take corrective action as necessary
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and develop procurement strategies
  • Develop pricing strategies and models that align with the company's goals and objectives
  • Analyze market trends and monitor competitor pricing to ensure market competitiveness
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop pricing models that meet customer needs
  • Analyze pricing data to identify trends and make recommendations for procurement and pricing adjustments
  • Manage minimum sell rate pricing databases and ensure accuracy of pricing information
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure pricing models are profitable
  • Plan and present pricing proposals to senior management
  • Participate in contract negotiations with customers and vendors
  • Provide guidance and training to pricing analysts as needed
  • Provide reports and analysis to management as needed

 

Educational background / Work experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in transportation and logistics procurement, preferably in a global organization

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry trends
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
  • Professional certification in procurement (e.g. CIPS, CPSM)

 

Language skills

  • Fluent in English (oral and written)

 

Computer Literacy

  • Proficient in procurement software and tools
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and data analytics tools is a plus.

For this position, the expected base pay is $86,500-$129,500 / annual.
