Position Description Summary:
Regional Security/Loss Control Manager is responsible for administrative supervision of branch Security Premises Officer (SPO) for the assigned respective region. Provide protection of company personnel, company assets and customer cargo. Liaison with Regulatory Agencies on security related issues. Support in ensuring the proper maintenance and management of security equipment of designated locations throughout the region.
Principal Accountabilities: (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.):
- Implement and maintain security procedures to meet company and / or customer requirements
- Implement and maintain security procedures in adherence to government regulations
- Analyze loss control, accident reports and unidentified freight
- Manage High Risk Shipments for target accounts through Freight Route Analization and other initiatives
- Coordinate and administer security clearances and other security policies and procedures in accordance with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and other government agencies
- Support C-TPAT, TAPA and other company certification initiatives
- Respond to TSA site visits and information requests
- Ensure contractural compliance
- Provide guidance with the Constant Surveillance Service Product
- Develop, manage and ensure maintenance of security systems for new and existing facilities
- Action Security / Loss Control mailbox emails, as needed
- Handle Incident Reporting mailbox emails, as needed
- Effectively support the security compliance of SOPs throughout the region
- May arrange for extra protection of key shipments or employees
