Summary

At DSV Road, the Regional Training Manager is responsible for the design, governance, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise training programs across the organization.  This role serves as the centralized owner of training standards, learning strategy, and training effectiveness, ensuring employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to perform their roles safely, compliantly, and efficiently.

 

The position develops role-based curriculum, manages learning systems, evaluates program effectiveness through operational trends and performance data, and partners with Operational Excellence (OpEx), Operations, Compliance, and leadership teams to close performance gaps through structured learning initiatives.  The Regional Training Manager coordinates system and process rollout training, leads train-the-trainer initiatives, and delivers both virtual and in-person instruction as needed while supporting regional training needs across NORAM and LATAM.

 

The Training Manager exercises independent judgment in evaluating operational performance trends, determining training strategies, establishing training standards, and recommending improvements that impact business operations, compliance, and workforce readiness.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

Training Strategy & Program Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain role-specific training curricula aligned with operational and business needs.
  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and governance of modular training content.
  • Establish standardized training frameworks, learning methodologies, and instructional approaches across departments.
  • Ensure training programs align with company policies, regulatory requirements, and strategic priorities.
  • Create training guides, job aids, quick reference materials, and checklists to support learning initiatives.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for regional training governance and standards.

 

Program Implementation & Delivery

  • Coordinate and manage training rollouts for new systems, tools, and operational process enhancements.
  • Deliver training both virtually and in person, as required.
  • Lead “train-the-trainer” programs for OpEx specialists and operational stakeholders.
  • Support onboarding readiness and role preparedness across operational teams.
  • Support regional training initiatives across NORAM and LATAM locations.

 

Learning Systems & Compliance

  • Manage and optimize the Learning Management System (LMS), including course administration, assignments, and learning paths.
  • Maintain and continuously update the enterprise training matrix.
  • Produce and analyze LMS reporting to monitor training completion, compliance, and effectiveness.
  • Ensure training documentation and records meet regulatory, audit, and internal compliance requirements.

 

Continuous Improvement & Performance Support

  • Analyze operational performance trends, audit findings, and compliance requirements to determine and implement necessary training and procedural improvements.
  • Collaborate with OpEx Managers and leadership to identify performance gaps and implement targeted learning solutions.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, operational outcomes, and performance metrics.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to training methods, delivery approaches, and learning materials.
  • Support operational and system change initiatives through structured training and communication strategies.

 

Business Advisory & Governance

  • Evaluate operational processes and identify performance deficiencies requiring training or procedural solutions.
  • Recommend training strategies and implementation approaches to leadership.
  • Interpret company policies and operational procedures and translate them into training standards.
  • Establish enterprise training requirements and determine appropriate delivery methods.
  • Provide subject matter guidance to operations leadership regarding training compliance and workforce readiness.

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate training, learning & development, operational training, or instructional design.
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise or multi-location training programs.
  • Experience administering or managing a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Experience developing curriculum, learning materials, and instructor-led training content.
  • Experience supporting operational, logistics, transportation, or distribution environments preferred.
  • Experience supporting cross-regional or international training initiatives preferred.

Physical Demands

This position requires extended periods of sitting while working at a computer, preparing training materials, conducting virtual meetings, and analyzing reports. The role may require standing for extended periods while conducting in-person training sessions and occasional lifting of training materials or equipment up to approximately 25 pounds. Frequent communication through presentations, video conferencing, and instruction is required.

 

Work Environment

The Training Manager primarily works in an office or remote office environment but will regularly interact with operational settings including warehouses, terminals, and distribution facilities. The role requires periodic travel to company locations for training delivery, program implementation, and operational observation. When onsite, the employee may be exposed to varying temperatures, moving equipment, and active operations. Travel frequency may vary based on training rollouts, projects, and business needs.

For this position, the expected base pay range is $68,000 - 92,000 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education or certifications, and geographic location, consistent with applicable laws and company policy.
