Job Posting Title: Safety Manager
Time Type: Full Time
The Site Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs for our 3PL operations. This role will ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations, as well as company policies, to create a safe working environment for all employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
● Develop, implement, and manage site-specific safety programs and procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
● Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of operational areas, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
● Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
● Provide safety training and education to all employees, including new hire orientation, hazard communication, emergency response, and other relevant safety topics.
● Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training, incidents, and corrective actions.
● Collaborate with site management, operations teams, and human resources to promote a strong safety culture.
● Manage and oversee the site's emergency preparedness plans, including fire drills and evacuation procedures.
● Ensure that all safety equipment is properly maintained, inspected, and readily available.
● Stay up-to-date with current safety regulations, industry best practices, and new technologies.
● Communicate safety performance metrics and recommendations to leadership.
Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
● Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management, preferably within a logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing environment.
● OSHA 30-hour certification required; CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or ASP (Associate Safety Professional) certification preferred.
● In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, DOT regulations, and other relevant safety standards.
● Proven ability to conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
● Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
