Job Posting Title: System Specialist, Business Implementation - 115250

POSITION SUMMARY

The DSV System Specialist, Business Implementation is responsible for successful engagement, with Solutions Design and Sales related to business request responses.
As part of this responsibility, the system specialist is involved in client facing meetings and is focused on business request responses across new client implementations and existing client enhancements.

On Top of new business engagement there will also be other administrative tasks like financial follow up, rebilling of projects and other administrative tasks.

 

Expectation is 75% New Business Engagement and 25% Other Administrative Tasks

 

Activities will be based of one of the DSV Contract Logistics clusters in the region.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze and document client and business requirements.
  • Engage with IT for Business Requests both external and internal.
  • Build Database of Business Requests and related internal processes.
  • Gatekeeper for Business request Response standardization.
  • Provide regular scheduled project updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze complex issues and client cases and align with Application & Integration Management for sensible generic solutions.
  • Advocate and sell best practices and standardization to internal (and external) parties.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand and anticipate customer needs for specific projects.
  • Other duties as assigned by management to support special projects, implementations, process improvements.

 

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education & Experience: 

  • Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 3 to 5+ years’ experience in working in a project-based environment.

Computer Skills:  

  • Proficiency in one or more WMS
  • MS Office Suite


Certificates & Licenses:  NA

Language Skills 

  • English (reading, writing, verbal)

 

Mathematical Skills 

  • Basic to intermediate level to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing, and distributing client products.

 

Other Skills 

  • Able to articulate and voice own opinion and sell your warehouse process design.
  • Readiness to travel – can be on short notice.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally (including Europe).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent combinations of education and work experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge on warehouse processes and supporting system landscapes.
  • 3-5 years of experience with JDA WMS (dispatcher preferred) or other major WMS products.
  • Experience with functional specifications for EDI integration
  • Experienced in working on small, fast paced project teams.
  • SQL proficiency is a plus.
  • Ability to travel 25%

While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear.  The employee uses computer and telephone equipment.  Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and distance vision.  Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. while following proper lifting procedures. Must be able to stand on feet for up to 8 hours per day.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

For this position, the expected base pay range is $70,000.00 – $85,000.00 Annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
